Something other than crochet

Just recently on a rainy day I sat down with my daughter and my two kid clients and we watched the Wizard of Oz.  I could not help but sing along with Judy Garland as she sang, Somewhere over the Rainbow.  When they showed Dorothy first wearing the ruby slippers my daughter turned to me and said “sparkly shoes mama.”  She is only 2 but she did enjoy her first viewing of this 70 year old movie.  I can’t believe this movie is 70 years old.   It is such remarkable movie, be sure to watch it sometime soon.

I live with my family in Neenah, WI. My day job is working at our local library. I spend time everyday exploring the art of crochet. Everyday life inspires my work from family to nature.

  1. well, I am from Brazil and I go there once a year to visit my family, so every time I go I buy some crochet thread there and sometimes my sister mails them to me.:o)

  2. Wizard of Oz is a favorite of mine too! You can\’t help but love every character in it, even the witch!.. I ADORE Burt Lahr as the Cowardly Lion!I LOVE every song, EVERY artistic detail in the costumes and scenery, and the magic of this movie will be loved and treasured till the end of time! I feel like popping some corn right now and watching it, if it wasn\’t so late!… Maybe over the weekend! (0:
