Happy Friday – Tubular Tutorial

There are two ways to go tubular in crochet, let me show you how…

To start make a circle…

any circle will do but here is what I did…
Rnd 1:  10 sc into ring, join.
Rnd 2:  Ch 6(counts as tr, ch 2),  (tr, ch 2) in each st around, join.
Rnd 3:  Dc in each tr, 3 dc in each ch-2 sp around.  join.
Rnd 4:  *2 sc in a st, 1 sc in next st, Rep from * around, join.
Now for the fun part, Method 1:
Rnd 5:  Working in front loops only, sc in each st around, join.
Rnds 6-9:  Sc in each st around join…
Ready to make the tube…
Working through each st and the back loop of Rnd 5…
sl st in each st around.
It will look like this on the back side…
 and on the front side…
Now for Method 2:
Rnd 5a: Working in back loops only, sc in each st around, join and fasten off.
Rnd 5b: Join thread, Working in front loops only, sc in each st around, join.
Rnds 6-9:  Sc in each st around, join.
This time for making the tube, work through sc loops of Rnd 9 and Rnd 5a….
sc through both stitches around while hiding your ends, join.
And voila!…
Tubular crochet is  great way to give some dimension to your Crochet!
Enjoy!
