Out with the Old Onto the New

As 2016 came to a close, my last big project was making snowflakes to give as gifts to friends, coworker, teachers and family.

This year,  I made about 50 snowflakes, and the pattern is Boreas from 100 Snowflakes to Crochet by Caitlin Sainio.  It is a quick snowflake to make with only two rounds.

Each snowflake takes me about 10 minutes to crochet, and then stiffening and pinning takes about another 5-10 minutes.  Today on the treadmill I was working on …
a few more as ran out and need a few more.
Our winters are plenty long enough to enjoy a pretty snowflake.
For  2017, I will have to set my number higher maybe about 75.

Enjoy!

I live with my family in Neenah, WI. My day job is working at our local library. I spend time everyday exploring the art of crochet. Everyday life inspires my work from family to nature.
